Tossed the large one in my hiking pack for a weekend trip and it barely took up any space once folded down. The 33.9 oz size holds plenty of water for my lab, and it didn't tip over even when she got excited. Rinsed it out at the campsite and it was dry in no time.
The silicone is nice and soft, and it folds down flat enough to shove in a jacket pocket. The large size is a bit shallow for my lab though, he splashes half the water out, and the small one barely holds enough for a full day out.
