The buckle feels solid without being bulky, and the black hardware actually looks nice against the beige. My dog wears it on two walks a day and it hasn't rubbed or loosened at all.
The herringbone pattern is subtle enough that it doesn't clash with his fur, and the black hardware looks sharp against the beige. It's lightweight too, so he barely notices it on our longer walks.
