Took this on a muddy trail walk and the clip stayed locked the whole time, even when my dog lunged after a squirrel. The smooth finish means hair and dirt rinse right off instead of sticking. Got the 5-foot length and it's perfect for city walks.
The waterproof finish really does wipe clean after muddy walks, which is why I kept it. That said, the clip feels a bit stiff and awkward to snap on one-handed, and the 5-foot length is shorter than I pictured.
